Tobacco smoking influence on good shape and sports

If you are going in for sports or like physical training, if you want to be in good shape during long period of time, you should know that:

  • nicotine causes vasoconstriction, increasing the load on heart;
  • smokers get short breath three times more often than nonsmokers do;
  • smoking destroys lungs;
  • smoking decreases oxygen level in blood. Oxygen is especially needed to muscles, when a person is going in for sports and when he or she needs to overcome serious loads;
  • smokers run slowly. It is a problem for them to run a long distance over a short period of time.

Real sportsmen do not smoke!
